Description / Expertise
These form part of a group of 25 original etchings by Monnoyer, from a total oeuvre of 34, with:
Les Petits Bouquets: four bouquets tied with ribbons: R.-D. 1-4 first states
Les Vases opaques: nine large arrangements in classical urns: R.-D. 13-21 first states
Les Grandes Corbeilles: four large horizontal arrangements in baskets: R.-D. 29-32 first states
These brilliant impressions were made in the period before Nicolas de Poilly’s name was added as publisher (before 1680 according to Dunthorne, certainly before 1696).
