Description / Expertise

Faustina the Younger, wife of the philosopher Emperor Marcus Aurelius, was a model of virtue, genuinely loved by the people and revered by the army, even after her death. Born in 125 AD, she was the daughter of emperor Antoninus Pius and Faustina the Elder and in 145 AD she married Marcus Aurelius, giving birth to twelve children in the course
of their marriage.
