Description / ExpertiseOn the shoulder the representation of Achilles persuing Troilos. The nude boy flees, his hair fluttering in the wind, on a horse that gallops to the left. Achilles,nude and armed with a sword and shield, rushes after him. A fig-leaf on the shield. The picture field is framed by two black figure friezes with buds and two friezes of opposing pomegranates that are connected by a zig-zag line. Undercut mouth of vessel. Round horizontal and vertical handles. |
