Description / ExpertiseThe rectangular top with cross-banding in olive wood having two thicknesses of inlaid brass stringing on either side and inlaid brass scallop shells at the corners, folding to reveal a backgammon and chess board, folding again to a baize lined card table with four counter wells, folding again to a mechanical rising nest of drawers and pigeon-holes with small drawers below and a baize-lined writing surface, all supported on fine cabriole legs, the knees inlaid with fine brass stringing and foliage panels, terminating in pad feet similarly inlaid with brass decoration. |
